Business Development Manager (Transport)

Your responsibilities:

  • Further development of the market in the Transport segment (metro, railway)
  • Acquiring new partners
  • Introducing new products to the market
  • Managing relationships with key clients – from the first contact, through negotiations, to contract finalization
  • Preparing tailored offers and sales projects adapted to client specifications
  • Collaborating with the technical and product teams in project implementation
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to continuously improve the offer and sales approach

  • Actively acquiring customers based on market analysis and potential projects

  • Managing relationships with key clients – from initial contact through negotiations to contract finalization

Business Development Manager (Germany + Intenational)

The Role:

  • Reporting to the Sales Director your responsibility will be to define and execute an appropriate Ambient System sales strategy on assigned markets (with a particular focus on the German market), including the growth of existing partnerships, exploration and identification of new partnerships to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the key stakeholders across ABT Team (e.g. Sales, Technical, Product Management Team) and Distribution Partners to achieve the sales.
  • Act as a Business Representative/Brand Ambassador at major industry events, conferences, and trade shows, attending key events to generate leads.
  • Define and execute appropriate sales strategies, including business development, marketing, technical, operational and sales support programs to maximize sales and profitability.

Your responsibilities:

  • Deliver top line sales growth through new and existing partnerships.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities to increase revenues on a global market.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through working collaboratively with the sales, technical and marketing teams and fosters a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Partner with customers to understand their business objectives and maximize sales performance in the most efficient, cost effective and commercial manner.
  • Provide outstanding customer service through prompt and accurate support and advice.
  • Evaluate market research, competitor and customer surveys and execute strategies in line with evaluations.
  • Negotiate, manage, renew, review contracts as required to enable effective trading, operations and customer relations.
  • Maximising company profit, set and deliver forecast, and achieve annual sales targets.
  • Handling a variety of projects for the business development, new product launch and overseeing project management.
  • Identifying valuable emerging markets.
  • Accurately forecasting future sales.

Our requirements:

  • Solid demonstrable track record in International sales (including Germany).
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Proven commercial growth in current and previous roles with the ability to spot opportunities for revenue generation.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Able to prioritise work-load in order to maximise profit.
  • Able to take the lead in high value commercial negotiations.
  • Able to effectively regularly communicate global sales activities to key business stakeholders.
  • Ability to developed a network of contacts across the industry and around the world.
  • Previous experience successfully managing sales ideally from a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans.
  • Experience of multi-channel (Omni channel) Sales strategies.
  • Proven track record of key account management, distributor management and business development.
